Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to play?

No. SudoKu Master has no account and no login. You open the app and play.

Does the app need an internet connection?

No. The app is fully offline. It collects no data and sends nothing anywhere.

Why are some difficulties and levels locked?

Beginner, Easy and Medium are open from the start. Hard, Expert and Nightmare each unlock after you complete 5 levels in the difficulty below. Within a difficulty, levels unlock two ahead of your last completed level, so finishing the level you are on opens the next one.

How does the Learn section work?

Learn gives you one new technique lesson per day. Stage 1 is open from the start, and later stages unlock as you complete lessons.

Can I practise a technique more than once?

Yes. Practice level 1 of every technique is free and can be replayed as often as you like.

What is Adventure?

Adventure gives you two new shape puzzles per day. Replaying a puzzle you have already opened is always free.

What do hints actually tell me?

A hint names the technique that applies to the current board, so you learn the method instead of just being handed a number.

Can I see how a puzzle was solved?

Yes. Every finished puzzle keeps a full move replay you can step through.

Is there a subscription?

Not in version 1.0. A subscription is planned for a later version.

Will my progress survive if I delete the app?

No. Progress is stored on your device only. There is no cloud sync, so deleting the app deletes your progress, and it cannot be restored or moved to another device.

• The puzzle's difficulty and level number.

A screenshot of the board is usually enough for us to reproduce a puzzle bug exactly.
